Fatboy Slim Though I don't play much of
his work any more--at least not his more recent work--in the late 1990s
Fatboy Slim (a.k.a. Norman Cook) was among my favorite artists. I found
his remix work particularly interesting because he'd managed to put his
own distinctive stamp on songs by numerous other artists. |
Fatboy Slim Links Astralwerks
- Fatboy Slim - Part of the site for Astralwerks,
which distributes Fatboy Slim's releases in the U.S. The list
of Norman Cook's remixes (from an earlier version of the site)was
particularly helpful when I was preparing my remix special, RE/SOURCES,
in April 1999. Skint - Fatboy Slim - This page on the site for Fatboy Slim's U.K. label, Skint, offers a biography, discography, and more. Mixmag Interview of Norman Cook - This interview with Norman Cook (a.k.a. Fatboy Slim) appeared in the October 1998 issue of the British music culture magazine Mixmag. It includes Cook's song-by-song evaluation of his album You've Come A Long Way, Baby, which was released about a month afterward. |
